COXSACKIE, NY — Troopers assigned to Catskill barracks responded to a 911 call requesting assistance for the New Baltimore Fire Department regarding a working structure fire at an abandoned building on June 18, 2026.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:06 p.m. at 13066 Route 9W.
Multiple motorists traveling northbound on Route 9W observed smoke coming from the structure and contacted emergency services.
Shortly after the initial reports, the building became fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from the New Baltimore Fire Department responded to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.
The Greene County Fire Investigation Team responded to the scene and advised State Police that the fire is considered suspicious in nature.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
