CAVENDISH, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a domestic dispute on Quent Phelan Road early June 20, 2026.
Troopers from the Westminster Barracks arrived at the residence at approximately 1:42 a.m.
An investigation revealed that Maria S. Perez, 36, of Ludlow, assaulted a household or family member and violated court-ordered conditions of release.
Perez was taken into custody without incident.
She was issued court-imposed conditions of release and held at Southern State Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
Perez is scheduled to appear before the Vermont Superior Court – Windsor Criminal Division on June 22 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to charges of violation of conditions of release and second-degree aggravated domestic assault.
