ORCHARD PARK, NY — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he held two women against their will and illegally possessed firearms found hidden in a child’s bedroom closet.
Andrew Jackson, 43, of Orchard Park, was arrested following an investigation that began June 14 when police received a 911 call shortly before 5 a.m.
Two women reported they were hiding from a man who had a gun after he brought them to his house, where he menaced and unlawfully restrained them, according to the Orchard Park Police Department.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Red Fox Lane on June 19.
During the search, detectives found two illegally possessed AR-style pistols concealed in a child’s bedroom closet, one of which was loaded, police said.
Detectives also found another pistol and additional evidence related to the investigation.
Jackson was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree menacing and failure to safely store firearms.
He was arraigned by Town of Orchard Park Justice Michael Pastrick and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center.
Jackson is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
