WEBSTER, MA — A woman faces multiple charges after police say she attacked her boyfriend with a hammer and had stabbed him a week earlier.

Webster Police officers responded to an apartment at 24 Mechanic Street at approximately 1:22 a.m. Friday for an anonymous report of a woman hitting her boyfriend with a hammer.

Officers heard a disturbance inside the apartment upon arrival and made contact with a man and woman.

The woman, identified as Rachel Moore-McNeil, stated there was no fight happening.

However, the man told officers a fight did occur and Moore-McNeil struck him in the head and back multiple times with a hammer.

The man had several lacerations and other injuries consistent with what he reported to officers.

Officers also discovered that Moore-McNeil stabbed the victim a week prior, causing severe lacerations.

The victim was treated by Webster EMS and transported to UMASS University for his injuries.

Rachel Moore-McNeil, 30, of Webster, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a family/household member, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault to maim and resisting arrest.
