Vehicle break-ins investigated in Ellwood City

ELLWOOD CITY, PA — Police are investigating multiple attempted vehicle thefts and break-ins that occurred overnight.

The incidents took place in the 300 and 400 blocks of Ninth Street and the 1200 block of Crescent Avenue.

Kia vehicles and similar makes and models appear to have been specifically targeted, according to the Ellwood City Police Department.

Residents in the affected areas are asked to review home security camera, doorbell camera or surveillance footage from overnight and into the early morning hours.

Police are asking anyone who observes suspicious persons, vehicles or activity to contact the department.

The department reminded residents to ensure vehicles are locked, valuables are removed from plain view and keys or key fobs are not left inside vehicles.
