Two arrested following disturbance in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a report of a disorderly person at a southeast side residence on June 10, 2026.

On scene, officers met with Jomar Tapia.

It was discovered that Jomar Tapia had damaged property as a result of an argument and was placed into custody.

While officers were attempting to control the scene, William Tapia grabbed a large 2×4 piece of lumber and attempted to reach another subject with it.

William Tapia was advised multiple times to drop the lumber and refused.

William Tapia was also placed into custody.

Jomar Tapia is charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and was held pending arraignment.

William Tapia is charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and was booked and released on an appearance ticket for a later court date.
