EVANS, NY — A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a tree on Holland Road.
The Town of Evans Police Department responded to the scene on the morning of June 14, 2026, after the motorcycle and its operator were discovered off the roadway.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the crash occurred during the evening hours of June 13, 2026.
A 56-year-old man from Evans was operating the motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a turn and subsequently struck a tree.
The operator sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Holland Road was closed for several hours while emergency personnel investigated the collision and cleared the scene.
The roadway has since been reopened to traffic.
The accident remains under investigation by the Town of Evans Police Department Accident Investigation Unit.
