COLDSPRING, NY — A Salamanca man was arrested after allegedly using stolen credit cards at two locations in Cattaraugus County.
Charles E. Green III, 52, of Salamanca, was taken into custody at 7:56 p.m. June 11, 2026, by deputies assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory.
Green was the subject of a complaint where he used a stolen credit card to make transactions at the Turtle Pit Café and Smoke Shop in Coldspring and at Edna’s Grab N Go in Salamanca.
Green was observed on camera footage provided by both stores making the transactions on multiple separate dates and times.
Deputies located Green at an address on Lebanon Road in the town of Coldspring.
Green was found to be in possession of the credit card that was initially reported stolen, along with four other stolen credit cards that belonged to the same victim.
Green was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
He was processed and released on an appearance ticket for return to the city of Salamanca Court on charges of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree and petit larceny.
Green was also released on an appearance ticket for return to the town of Coldspring Court on charges of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree (eight counts), petit larceny (two counts) and attempted petit larceny.
