HARTFORD, CT — A man was arrested after police observed him entering a stolen vehicle on Donald Street.
Members of the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force were conducting proactive patrol in the area of 41 Donald Street on June 8, 2026, when they observed a stolen Pontiac G6.
Detectives maintained surveillance and observed an individual enter the vehicle and start the engine.
Officers converged on the vehicle, prompting the suspect to flee on foot.
The suspect was quickly apprehended without further incident.
Gerald Gonzalez, 33, of Enfield, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, larceny 3rd degree, use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission and interfering with an officer.
The 2008 Pontiac G6 had been reported stolen from Hartford.
