NORTH BENNINGTON, VT — A Massachusetts man was arrested on a drug-related DUI charge late Saturday night after troopers observed his vehicle driving erratically with a defective headlight.
Luther A. Boateng, 21, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was stopped at approximately 11:59 p.m. on Mechanic Street.
Troopers observed Boateng’s vehicle driving in the middle of the road with a defective headlight before conducting the traffic stop.
Boateng was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, his second such offense.
He was processed at the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks.
Boateng was ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on Aug. 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
