SHAFTSBURY, VT — A driver was cited for excessive speed on US Route 7 on May 29, 2026.
Troopers observed a vehicle traveling southbound near mile marker 20 at approximately 5:27 p.m. at a speed of 90 mph in a posted 55 mph zone.
A traffic stop was conducted and the operator was identified as John Richard Kourbage, 46, of Winhall.
Kourbage was cited for excessive speed and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on July 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
