LIVONIA, NY — A 60-year-old man is facing felony charges following a traffic stop on Pebble Beach Road.

Bryan Mailloux, of Livonia, was arrested June 10 at approximately 9:35 p.m. after Deputy Hayden Strobel, assigned to the Sheriff’s Office STOP DWI Unit, observed a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

During the initial encounter, Deputy Strobel suspected Mailloux was under the influence of alcohol and conducted a roadside DWI investigation, which included standardized field sobriety tests.

Mailloux was taken into custody for DWI at the conclusion of the investigation.

Mailloux refused to submit to a chemical breath test to determine his blood alcohol content.

A records check revealed Mailloux had a prior conviction for DWI in May, making this arrest a felony.

Mailloux was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated and violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

He was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.

Mailloux was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of Nunda Justice Morris and released on his own recognizance as the offenses do not qualify for bail under the New York State Bail Reform Act.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Mailloux at the arraignment, and the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
