MONTAUK, NY — The New York State Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to Montauk Point East Overlook at Camp Hero State Park on June 11, 2026, at approximately 1:42 p.m. for reports of a deceased body.
Upon arrival, investigators located a deceased body later identified as Lauren Balik, 35, of New York City.
The investigation is ongoing.
