LEWISTOWN, PA — A man wanted on felony charges related to child sexual abuse material was arrested June 4 after police located him at a West Market Street address.
David C. Domain Jr., 45, of Lewistown, was taken into custody at 2:38 p.m. at 207 West Market Street without incident, according to the Lewistown Police Department.
Domain had a felony warrant for sexual abuse of children- child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication device.
The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General Child Predator Section had conducted a search warrant on June 3 in connection with the investigation, but Domain was not at that location.
A cell phone in Domain’s possession was turned over to the Attorney General’s office.
Domain was lodged in Mifflin County Correctional Facility on the warrant.
Later that evening at 7:20 p.m., Keith A. Baumgardner, 41, of Lewistown, was arrested on an active felony warrant for aggravated assault after a pursuit that ended with him fleeing on foot.
Baumgardner had failed to surrender himself as promised earlier that day at 10 a.m.
Officers spotted Baumgardner driving on South Walnut Street and lost sight of him after turning around.
Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers located Baumgardner’s vehicle in Burnham Borough near Parcheytown Road and attempted a traffic stop, which he failed to yield to.
Baumgardner fled onto East Freedom Avenue/Vira Road and drove his vehicle off-road before attempting to flee on foot.
His vehicle lightly struck an occupied residence during the incident.
Baumgardner told officers he swallowed methamphetamine during the pursuit.
He was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and a legal blood draw before being lodged in Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Mifflin County Regional Police Department is handling criminal charges related to the fleeing incident.
On June 5 at 2:06 p.m., Margo M. Houtz, 40, of Mifflintown, was contacted by officers surveilling a residence on the 200 block of Valley Street due to drug complaints.
Houtz showed signs of being under the influence of a drug when she pulled into the rear of the residence.
Officers observed a baggy used to store cocaine and a crack pipe in a cigarette pack when Houtz attempted to retrieve a cigarette.
Field sobriety tests showed several indicators of impairment believed to be caused by ingesting drugs.
Houtz was found to possess several other pieces of cocaine paraphernalia, including a small amount of cocaine.
A law enforcement phlebotomist obtained a blood sample at the police station.
Houtz was released and charges are pending toxicology results.
At 4:35 p.m. that day, Martin S. Heath Jr., 49, of Lewistown, was charged with trespassing after entering an apartment on the 300 block of Logan Street to retrieve his dog while highly impaired from consuming alcohol at a level more than twice the legal limit.
Heath had an argument with two occupants who fled into a bedroom.
Heath began destroying items in the residence before forcing his way into the bedroom after being told several times to leave.
Heath fled back into his residence when officers arrived.
Mifflin County Probation was notified that Heath was consuming alcohol in violation of the terms of his supervision.
On June 6 at 12:07 a.m., a driver was arrested for suspected DUI after nearly striking a parked vehicle and driving the wrong way down a one-way alley.
The 53-year-old Lewistown man was severely intoxicated from having consumed alcohol and could not complete field sobriety tests.
The driver nearly fell down while attempting one of the tests.
He was transported to the hospital where he initially refused a blood test and made a statement that marijuana would also be present in his blood.
Officers wrote an application for a search warrant before the driver decided to provide a blood sample.
At 3:10 p.m., Kerry R. Scott, 53, of Lewistown, came to the Lewistown Police Department to retrieve keys and was taken into custody on an active warrant from Juniata County.
