TRENTON, NJ — Seven people were shot on Centre Street on June 9, according to Trenton police.

Police received a ShotSpotter activation for multiple rounds in the area of Centre and Federal Streets at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Multiple people were found suffering from gunshot wounds upon police arrival.

The victims included one male juvenile, one female juvenile, and five adult males ages 30, 36, 24, 29, and 22.

All victims were transported to Capital Health Medical Center for treatment.

Six of the victims are listed in stable condition, while one victim is in critical but stable condition.

The crime scene extended from Centre and Furman Street to Centre and Hills Place.

Four unoccupied vehicles and one unoccupied residence were struck by gunfire.

The Mercer County Shooting Response Team responded to both the hospital and the scene and is actively investigating the incident.

The initial investigation indicates that multiple shooting suspects were involved, with over 50 spent rounds of ammunition recovered from the scene.
