SLATINGTON, PA — Police are investigating multiple vehicle break-ins and thefts from motor vehicles reported over the past several days throughout the borough.
All of the vehicles targeted in the incidents were left unlocked, according to the Slatington Police Department.
Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles when unattended and never leave keys inside, even if hidden.
Authorities also recommend removing valuables from vehicles or keeping them out of sight.
Thieves often target vehicles that are easy to access, especially when valuables are visible inside, police said.
Residents are asked to be aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity immediately.
