NEW HARTFORD, NY — Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from staff at a residential treatment facility Wednesday.
New Hartford Police responded to The House of Good Shepherd on Champlin Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. regarding a report of a runaway juvenile.
According to staff, Maleya Myers had been transported by facility staff to Wynn Hospital for medical treatment.
Myers ran away from staff after being treated at the hospital.
She was last seen wearing purple and tan pajama pants and a white sweater.
Myers is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall.
Police believe Myers may be in the New Hartford or Utica area.
