SHARON, VT — A motorist was cited for excessive speed and negligent operation after being clocked at 108 mph on Interstate 89 South on June 8, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police were conducting speed enforcement on the interstate at approximately 9 a.m. when they observed a vehicle traveling well above the posted 65 mph speed limit.
LIDAR equipment confirmed the vehicle was traveling at 108 mph.
The vehicle was stopped without incident.
The operator was identified as Wesley K. Coleman-Williams, 28, of South Burlington.
Coleman-Williams was issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Aug. 25, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charges.
