BERLIN, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Brookfield Road near Paine Turnpike South on June 7 at 5:30 a.m.
Daniel Dwan Jr., 64, of Dedham, Massachusetts, was traveling south on Interstate 89 near Exit 7 when his 2019 Acura MDX hydroplaned on the wet roadway.
The vehicle departed the roadway and rolled once before colliding with a fence separating Interstate 89 from Brookfield Road.
The vehicle came to rest on Brookfield Road facing north.
Dwan was wearing a seat belt and was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for evaluation of possible minor injuries.
The vehicle was totaled.
Berlin Fire Department, Barre Town EMS and Action Towing assisted at the scene.
Rain was falling at the time of the crash and road conditions were wet.
