Man arrested on homicide warrant in Carrollton

CARROLLTON, NY — A Buffalo man was arrested on a homicide warrant early Tuesday morning following a traffic stop.

Marquel Kennedy, 28, of Buffalo, was taken into custody at 2:52 a.m. June 3 by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory.

Kennedy was stopped in the Town of Carrollton when deputies discovered he had an active arrest warrant for homicide issued by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

He was arrested without incident and turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, where he was held.
