Woman charged with evidence tampering in Fort Edward

FORT EDWARD, NY — A woman was arrested Thursday following an investigation into a false urine sample submitted during a required drug screening.

Emyah P. Dotson, 19, of Argyle, New York, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint investigation with the Washington County Probation Department that determined Dotson had submitted a false urine sample during a drug screening at the Washington County Municipal Center.

Dotson was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Fort Edward Town Court at a later date.
