Man robbed of necklace in Little Ferry

LITTLE FERRY, NJ — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Lakeview Avenue on Friday afternoon.

A man was cutting his lawn at 1:55 p.m. when he was approached by four people in a dark gray Hyundai Palisade, according to the Little Ferry Police Department.

The occupants of the vehicle asked the victim for directions to Walmart, police said.

While one female attempted to place a fake chain around the victim’s neck, a male suspect ripped the victim’s original chain from his neck, according to police.

The suspects then fled in their vehicle, traveling east on Lakeview Avenue toward Bergen Turnpike, police said.

The vehicle was occupied by two males and two females, with the females wearing face coverings, according to police.

Police said this is the second incident with the same description to occur in Little Ferry.
