LEWISTON, ME — Police arrested a man early this morning following a robbery at a SevenEleven convenience store.
Officers responded to the store at approximately 3:52 a.m. May 15, 2026, for a report of a robbery.
The store clerk reported that a male entered the store and forcibly stole money from behind the register.
Police quickly arrived and began searching for the suspect.
A male matching the suspect’s description was observed entering a nearby building and was subsequently apprehended.
Evidence related to the robbery was located on the male.
Police have identified the suspect as Samuel Hurt, 44, of Lewiston.
Hurt has been charged with robbery and theft by unauthorized taking.
