Man arrested on multiple charges in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Sunday morning following a traffic stop on the north side of the city.

Jamestown Police Department officers conducted the traffic stop at approximately 1:18 a.m. on May 10, 2026.

Through investigation, officers determined that Devonte Hampton was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and violating an order of protection.

Hampton was arrested on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and criminal contempt in the second degree.

He is being held pending his arraignment.
