LEWISTON, ME — A 16-year-old male was arrested in connection with a shooting on Pierce Street, police said Wednesday.
The Lewiston Police Department responded to 119 Pierce St. on April 29, 2026, for reports of a shooting.
Officers found evidence including shell casings and damage to property at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The department’s Criminal Investigation Division led the investigation in conjunction with the Androscoggin County District Attorney’s Office and Juvenile Community Corrections Officers.
The juvenile was arrested on May 7, 2026, and charged with reckless conduct with a firearm, a Class C felony, and threatening display of a weapon, a Class D crime.
He was transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center, where he was held.
This is the second time the juvenile has been charged in connection with a shooting, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming.
