Man charged with menacing in Bombay

BOMBAY, NY — New York State Police charged a Moira man with menacing and aggravated family offense on May 6, 2026.

Danny E. Theriault, 52, of Moira, was charged with menacing in the 2nd degree and aggravated family offense.

At approximately 8:49 a.m., troopers were notified of a domestic incident on County Route 32 in the town of Bombay.

An investigation determined Theriault and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that escalated when Theriault allegedly held a wrench and made threatening gestures toward the victim.

Theriault was arrested and processed at SP Massena.

He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Bombay Court at a later date.
