Catalytic converter stolen in Groton

GROTON, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at Upper Valley Grill.

Police were notified at approximately 7:30 a.m. on May 7, 2026, that the catalytic converter had been cut off a vehicle that was parked for sale at the business.

Investigation determined the theft occurred sometime during the early morning hours.

A sawzall cutting tool was used to remove the catalytic converter from the vehicle owned by Christopher Kane, 62, of Holyoak, Massachusetts.
