LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA — Four individuals have been charged in connection to a mass shooting that occurred during homecoming festivities at Lincoln University in October.

William Sells, 20, Karon Rollins, 17, and Makaveli Valera, 19, all of Wilmington, Delaware, have been charged with second degree murder, robbery, conspiracy and other related charges, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

The trio traveled to the university’s campus with guns, committed robberies and killed Jujuan Jeffers during the course of those robberies, authorities said.

Rollins has been charged as an adult.

All three defendants are in custody in Delaware and being held pending their extradition to Pennsylvania.

Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, who was arrested and charged with a firearms offense in October, has also been charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person for his actions during the shooting.

On Oct. 25, Lincoln University Police Department received a report of a shooting on campus at approximately 9:08 p.m.

Several thousand people were present on campus for homecoming festivities.

Gunfire broke out in the parking lot of the International Cultural Center Building.

A total of seven people were shot in the parking lot area, including Sells.

Jeffers, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, died as a result of his injuries.

The investigation led by Chester County Detectives determined that leading up to the shooting, Sells, Rollins and Valera carried out armed robberies, intentionally targeting attendees and stealing jewelry and other valuables.

Investigators used tips from the public, Instagram posts, Instagram direct messages, text messages, photographs and videos to place the defendants at Lincoln University and determine they were armed and committing robberies.

On Jan. 3, the Wilmington City Police Department arrested Rollins with a chain and pendant that was reported stolen during a robbery at homecoming.
