MENDON, VT — A 71-year-old woman was arrested on a DUI charge after her vehicle drove into a ditch.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a call at Sugar and Spice at approximately 1:34 p.m. May 5, 2026, involving a vehicle that had driven into a ditch.
The driver was showing signs of impairment, police said.
Janet Stocker, 71, of Pittsfield, was arrested for DUI and transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.
Stocker was released with a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court on June 22, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
