CLARKSTOWN, NY — A Missouri man was arrested following a road rage incident on the Palisades Parkway.
Jason Salvatore, 37, of Chesterfield, Missouri, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree, loaded firearm, a class C felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, ammunition feeding device, a class D felony.
Troopers from the State Police Haverstraw barracks responded to a road rage incident on the Palisades Parkway near exit 9 at approximately 1:43 p.m. on May 4, 2026.
During the investigation, Salvatore was found to be in possession of a Glock 19 with a loaded high-capacity magazine.
Salvatore was taken into custody and transported to State Police Haverstraw for processing without incident.
He was arraigned at the Town of Clarkstown Court and was remanded to Rockland County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash, $25,000 bond, and a $100,000 partially secured bond.
Salvatore is scheduled to appear May 8, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. in the Town of Clarkstown Court.
A 56-year-old victim was granted a full stay away order from Salvatore.
The Town of Clarkstown Police Department assisted the State Police.
