PENN YAN, NY — A Penn Yan man faces multiple charges after police say he was masturbating in public view on a village street.
Edward F. Galvin III, 38, of Penn Yan, was arrested by Penn Yan Police following a public lewdness complaint.
Police allege Galvin was openly masturbating on Seneca Street as traffic was passing by.
Galvin was located on Elm Street and taken into custody.
During a search incidental to arrest, police discovered Galvin was unlawfully in possession of a loaded Sig Sauer 9mm handgun.
Galvin was processed at the Police Department, where police say he continued to expose himself to officers.
He was transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.
