MECHANICSBURG, PA — Police have issued a warrant for a Pennsylvania man accused of stealing a victim’s cell phone and changing their identifying information.
Justin Bartlett, 37, of Pennsylvania, is wanted on charges of theft by unlawful taking and identity theft.
Police were contacted by the victim at approximately 12:32 a.m. on Sept. 1, who reported Bartlett had taken their cell phone.
The victim told police Bartlett was refusing to return the phone and had changed all of the victim’s identifying information that was accessed through the cell phone.
Bartlett acknowledged having the phone during a phone conversation but has not been able to be contacted since, according to police.
A summons to Bartlett’s address was not retrieved.
The incident occurred in the first block of West Main Street.
Magisterial District Judge Mark W. Martin issued the warrant on March 30.
