WEBSTER, NY — A 10-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on Ridge Road on May 1, 2026.
The Webster Police Department responded to the area of 613 Ridge Road at approximately 10:31 a.m. for the report of a child struck by a motor vehicle.
The investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling west on Ridge Road when the boy ran into the roadway.
The boy sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Dummer, 34, of Webster, was charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and vehicular assault in the first degree, along with additional traffic citations.
Dummer was transported to the Monroe County Jail for centralized arraignment, where Judge Martin set bail at $1,500.
