CURWENSVILLE, PA — A Maytown man was arrested by Curwensville police after allegedly traveling to meet a person he believed to be a 15-year-old girl with the intent to rape and sexually assault her.
According to Curwensville police, Ethan Quinn Henry, 25, of Maytown, was taken into custody on April 25 in the parking lot of Snappy’s.
Police said that from January until the time of his arrest, Henry communicated online with an individual he believed was a 15-year-old girl, who was in fact an undercover decoy.
Authorities said Henry used a Facebook dating site to send explicit messages and photographs, including approximately 36 images of his genitals, and described detailed plans of sexual assault.
Investigators reported Henry expressed his intention to take the minor to various locations, attempt to hide their activities from her mother, and planned to have her run away with him, mentioning destinations including Disney.
He also communicated intent to impregnate the child, authorities said.
Henry was arrested and incarcerated in the Clearfield County Jail.
He is awaiting arraignment on multiple charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and criminal use of communication facility.
The arrest was made in conjunction with the group 814 Pred Hunters and the Clearfield County District Attorney’s Office.
Officer Dominic Lamb is listed as the charging officer.
Chief Rod Witherite confirmed the arrest.
