DUI arrest in Lower Makefield Township

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A Yardley Borough man was arrested on a DUI charge after police say he struck three parked vehicles on April 19.

Police responded to a report of a three-vehicle accident in the unit block of Fairway Drive at 8:11 a.m.

Further investigation revealed the 43-year-old male driver hit three parked cars.

He was taken into police custody for Driving Under the Influence.

In other incidents, police arrested a Bristol woman and a Levittown man on drug charges on April 21.

Police on patrol stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Oxford Valley Road at 8:05 p.m. for violations.

Further investigation led to the arrest of the 55-year-old female driver from Bristol for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the 51-year-old male passenger from Levittown for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

They were taken into police custody.

Police also reported multiple fraud and theft incidents during the week.

A resident in the 1400 block of Scarlet Oak Road reported on April 21 at 9:05 p.m. that an unknown person called them on FaceTime, claiming they had won a prize.

The scammer instructed the person to withdraw $15,000 from their joint bank account and use it to buy gift cards from a store.

The victim did as instructed and provided the scammer with the gift card numbers.

On April 23, a resident reported receiving a text from someone claiming to be from PennDOT stating they owed toll violations and would have their license suspended if they weren’t paid.

The incident in the 7700 block of Spruce Mill Drive was reported at 11:12 a.m.

Police also investigated a vehicle theft on April 21.

A resident in the 1400 block of Laurie Lane reported at 11:10 a.m. that unknown person or persons removed a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox from their driveway sometime overnight.
