LYNDONVILLE, VT — A head-on collision on Vermont Route 122 sent multiple people to area hospitals on April 24, 2026.
The Lyndonville Police Department received a report of the crash at 12:40 p.m. on Route 122, also known as Gilman Road, in the area of 3078 Gilman Road.
A 2008 Dodge pickup truck operated by Kim E. Hathaway, 73, of Wheelock, and a 2011 Toyota pickup truck operated by Colin W. Peloquin, 31, of Sheffield, collided head-on and remained in the roadway with occupants trapped inside.
Peloquin and two juveniles were stuck in the Toyota due to damage and injuries.
Lyndon Rescue and Lyndonville Fire assisted in removing the occupants from the vehicle.
Peloquin and the two juveniles were transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment.
Hathaway was assisted by Lyndon Rescue and Calex Ambulance before being transported to North Country Hospital by Calex Ambulance.
The extent of injuries for all parties is unknown at this time.
The ongoing investigation showed that Hathaway was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane prior to the accident.
Peloquin was traveling westbound in the westbound lane.
Both vehicles were totaled with major front-end damage and were removed by Caledonia Wrecker.
Lyndonville Police was assisted on scene by the Vermont State Police, Lyndon Rescue, Lyndonville Fire, Calex Ambulance and Caledonia Wrecker.
