AUBURN, NY — A man was arrested after police found him hiding on a neighbor’s porch in violation of a stay-away order of protection.

Members of the Auburn Police Department were dispatched to an address on Orchard Street on April 21 for a reported 911 hang-up call.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and observed a male in the residence they suspected to be Anthony Isgar.

Officers learned there was a full stay-away order of protection protecting the victim from Isgar.

As the investigation continued, officers believed the male was attempting to flee the scene and set a perimeter around the residence.

Officers located Isgar attempting to hide on a neighbor’s porch.

Isgar was advised he was under arrest and began resisting arrest but was ultimately taken into custody.

Isgar was transported to Auburn Police Department headquarters where he was processed on charges of first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

Isgar was transported to the Cayuga County Jail for CAP arraignment.
