BOSTON, MA — Boston police have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Dorchester neighborhood in March.
The arrests stem from an incident at about 2:54 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, when officers assigned to District C-11 responded to the area of 480 Quincy Street for a report of a person shot.
An adult male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police canvassed the area and recovered a firearm in the yard of 76 Clarkson Street.
The firearm was determined to be a Glock 45 with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in a large capacity magazine.
At about 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, officers and detectives assigned to District C-11 arrested Julian Cardoso, 19, of Dorchester, in the area of Page Street.
Cardoso was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for armed assault to rob, possession of a firearm without an FID card and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
At about 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Tyler Powell, 18, of Quincy, in the area of Crown Drive in Quincy.
Powell was wanted on a warrant obtained by District C-11 detectives issued out of Dorchester District Court for armed assault to rob.
At about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force located Lashawn Scott, 19, of Boston, who had several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Scott was seen entering a vehicle in the area of Dudley Street and Mount Pleasant Avenue.
The vehicle was stopped at 45 Mount Pleasant Avenue, but Scott was no longer inside.
While canvassing the area, Scott was seen running on Moreland Street and jumped a fence towards Warren Street.
A foot chase ensued, and Scott ran into an open back door at 24 Wakullah Street.
Officers made entrance into the building and conducted a protective sweep of the apartment.
Scott was found hiding inside a closet and was taken into custody.
Scott was arrested on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for armed assault to rob, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity feeding device, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, assault and battery with a firearm and discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
All three suspects were arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
