Two arrested on warrants in Lebanon

LEBANON, NH — Two people were arrested on outstanding warrants April 22 after police responded to a residence on Eldridge Street.

Lebanon Police officers arrived at 15 Eldridge Street at approximately 8:34 a.m., returning to the location following the execution of a search warrant at the residence the previous Friday.

Officers found five individuals inside the residence who were not authorized to be there, according to the property owner.

During the investigation, officers identified two individuals with outstanding warrants and took both into custody without incident.

Ashley Newland, 41, of White River Junction, was arrested on several outstanding warrants, including one for felony possession of drugs.

Officers found Newland in possession of crack cocaine and fentanyl during the encounter.

She was additionally charged with two new felony drug offenses.

Brian LaFountain, 41, of Canaan, New Hampshire, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant for possession of drugs.

At the request of the homeowner, letters of trespass were issued to all individuals present.

Both individuals were transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections, pending arraignment.
