Police investigate two shootings in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO, VT — Police are investigating two separate shootings on Chestnut Street that occurred three days apart.

Brattleboro Police responded to Chestnut Street at approximately 4:38 a.m. on April 18, 2026 for a report of shots fired.

Officers located several shell casings in the roadway upon arrival.

No injuries were reported.

Police returned to the same area of Chestnut Street at approximately 7:34 p.m. on April 21, 2026 for another report of shots fired.

Officers found additional shell casings in the roadway.

No injuries were reported in the second incident.

Police released images of a dark colored vehicle of interest related to the case.
