WOONSOCKET, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested two men and conducted investigations resulting in three arrests on Jan. 15.
At 11:30 a.m., troopers arrested Claudio Liranzo, 53, of West Warwick, for obtaining property by false pretense over $10,000.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the West Warwick Police Department subsequently locating Liranzo.
The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
At 8:16 p.m., troopers arrested Scott Stern, 52, of Woonsocket, for a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of unlawful breaking and entering originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department and a Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for pretrial conference on the original charge of driving without consent of owner originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on John A. Cummings Way in the city of Woonsocket.
Stern was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Service.
At 12:48 a.m., troopers arrested Chantha Mang, 46, of Cranston, for possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance.
