Driver arrested on DUI charge in Duxbury

DUXBURY, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 100 near Turner Hill Road on April 21, 2026 at 11:39 p.m.

The operator was identified as MacKenzie Odonnell, 21, of Berlin.

Police said Odonnell’s 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Limited crossed over the fog line before leaving the roadway and crashing.

While speaking with troopers, Odonnell displayed signs of impairment, police said.

Odonnell was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.

Odonnell was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage.

Weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.

Odonnell was issued a citation to appear in Washington Superior Court – Criminal Division.
