SALAMANCA, NY — A woman was arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop April 17.
Joelle E. Cooper, 38, of Salamanca, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Cooper was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Wildwood Avenue in the city of Salamanca.
Following an investigation, Cooper was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a scale, $700 and other drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office.
Cooper was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance fifth degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia second degree (two counts) and obstruction second degree.
Cooper is due in the city of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings.
