MARSHALL, NY — New York State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred Saturday in the Town of Marshall.
At approximately 10:30 a.m., State Police were dispatched to the area of 2552 State Route 12B for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a tractor and plow.
The investigation determined that a two-door black Jeep Wrangler was traveling southbound on State Route 12B when the driver attempted to pass a tractor pulling a plow by crossing a double-yellow line.
During the passing maneuver, the Jeep struck the plow, causing damage.
The suspect vehicle continued southbound without stopping.
As a result of the impact, the passenger-side mirror of the Jeep was dislodged and is believed to be missing.
The involved vehicle is described as a two-door black Jeep Wrangler with possible passenger-side damage and a missing mirror.
A nearby resident provided Ring camera footage that captured the vehicle; however, the license plate is not readable.
State Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, observed the vehicle in the area, or has information regarding a Jeep Wrangler matching this description, particularly if it was recently brought to a repair facility, to contact the New York State Police in Oneida at (315) 366-6000.
