MECHANICSBURG, PA — The police department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South York Street and West Maplewood Avenue at approximately 8:17 a.m. April 9, 2026.
Officers determined a vehicle pulled from the stop sign on West Maplewood Avenue to travel across South York Street going westbound.
The vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling south on South York Street upon pulling into the intersection.
The driver of the struck vehicle and two passengers were transported to the hospital by EMS for further evaluation.
The struck vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained.
Penn State Health EMS, Hampden Township EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department assisted the police department on scene.
