NEWBURY, VT — A motorcyclist was arrested on a DUI charge following a crash on Interstate 91 South on Friday night.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks were dispatched to a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle near mile marker 103 at approximately 9:19 p.m.
Upon arrival, emergency medical services were treating the operator, Charles McFadden, 30, of Alpha, New Jersey.
McFadden was operating a Honda motorcycle that sustained moderate damage in the crash.
He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation determined McFadden was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of operation.
McFadden was processed for DUI at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
He was released with a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
