MORGANTOWN, PA — A 37-year-old man was charged with violating a Protection From Abuse order after allegedly contacting the plaintiff through a third party.

Anthony Joseph DelGrosso, of Pennsylvania, was charged on April 11 with contempt under Title 23 Protection From Abuse Act Section 6114(A).

Corporal William Smith was notified of a potential violation at 9:13 a.m. on April 10.

The plaintiff, who resides in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, reported that DelGrosso had contacted her through a third party, violating the terms of the PFA order.

The investigation revealed that DelGrosso sent multiple messages to the plaintiff through a witness, including threatening and harassing statements.

The witness, an attorney, attempted to warn DelGrosso that his actions were a violation of the PFA and could result in harassment charges.

The Berks County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the PFA was served to DelGrosso.

Based on the evidence, Corporal Smith determined that probable cause exists to support the charge.
