PENN YAN, NY — A man was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into a sexual relationship with a minor.
Jason Mayhew, 18, of Penn Yan, was taken into custody at 12:15 p.m. on Clinton Street, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said Mayhew engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor in January.
He was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.
Mayhew was transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment in Yates County CAP Court.
