The Earthbound Spirits Announce New Studio Album, So Much Left to Show

1 min read

NEWPORT –– Vermont blues-rock mainstays Kyle Chadburn & The Earthbound Spirits are proud to announce the release of their first full-length studio album, So Much Left to Show, arriving May 1, 2026.

Following the momentum of the gritty, driving single “Heartless” (released March 6) and the soulful warmth of “Comfort You” (released April 3), the new record finds the band evolving beyond their established blues-rock roots. So Much Left to Show seamlessly weaves together elements of smooth soul, vintage R&B, and even hints of psychedelia.

Produced by Kyle Chadburn and Ben Collette, the album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Tank Recording Studio in Burlington, VT. The album highlights the intricate chemistry of the core band, including the heavy-hitting rhythm section of Chris Doncaster (bass) and Travis Leblanc (drums/percussion/vocals), the soaring slide and lead guitar work of Rudy Dauth alongside the rich, expansive textures of Mike Fried on the Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and organ. Additionally, the horn section of Sam Atallah (trumpet) and Avery Cooper (tenor sax) infuse several of the tracks with a classic Stax-inspired energy.

At the heart of the album is Chadburn’s songwriting, which has matured into a poignant reflection on universal human experiences. Born, raised, and continuing to live in the Northeast Kingdom, Chadburn brings a unique songwriting voice to his projects. Throughout the tracks, he tackles the complexities of personal relationships and reflects on the passage of time. Despite the weight of these themes, a persistent thread of optimism runs through the record—a conscious effort to find light and hope amidst challenging times.

“This album was a really important opportunity for us to grow and expand as a band,” Chadburn says of the project. “It felt like a natural progression for us. I’m definitely not comfortable repeating myself as a songwriter, and I know the other guys are always searching for new sounds and grooves. We wanted to create something that has a timeless feel to it, but also speaks directly to the experiences everyone is having here and now.”

So Much Left to Show will be available on all major streaming platforms on May 1, 2026.
