LEWISTOWN, PA — A Lewistown man is facing felony charges after allegedly choking and striking a woman during a domestic dispute on April 4.
Jacob C. Shoff Sr., 30, of Lewistown, reported that his child’s mother was screaming and hitting him while he was holding a child.
Shoff put the child down and began repeatedly striking the female victim.
Shoff stated that he struck the female four times in the head and only stopped when she dropped onto the ground.
The female reported that she was choked to a point where she could not breathe.
Shoff admitted to grabbing the female several times during the altercation.
EMS was summoned due to one party complaining of chest pains.
Treatment was refused and the female victim later went to the hospital for medical treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained during the altercation.
The female was cited for harassment.
Shoff was charged with strangulation and simple assault.
The incident occurred in the 800 block of South Main Street at 10:36 a.m.
